No, it's not a Python. It's a Cuger, a cross mating of a Colt and a Ruger. You start with a Ruger Security Six and a 6 inch Python barrel, work a little gunsmith magic and presto bango, and you get something like this. The bluing is a 400 grit grade and the hardchrome is a high polish, by Checkmate. The fine checkering on the cylinder release is not quite visible in this photo. Note the Millet sights. This one is included just to show what the imagination can do if turned loose. We did not originate this idea and would be happy to give credit to whoever came up with it. Put a Python barrel on a Smith and Wesson and you get a Smolt. Pretty neat, huh? Our gunsmith built this one for himself some years back. |
